The 2009 Cardiff Men’s convention was our sixth and it saw us stepping up a gear!

It was a fantastic day with more than 1000 men from all over Wales and across the border.

The first class teaching spoke to men's hearts.  The sense of fellowship and gathering together in seminars and round table sessions was brilliant.

We moved to the St David’s Hall so that we could fit in more men but we have been stepping things up in a spiritual sense too. The theme: ‘Raising the Bar’ reflected that. The teaching focused on the story of Joseph – a man who had it all, lost everything and with God’s help spectacularly rebuilt his life and changed the world!

Our hope is that all of us who attended this convention have been challenged to look again at the goals we set and the expectations we have in our own Christian walk – and to believe that we serve a God “..who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,”. We had outstanding teaching and testimony from RT Kendall, Lyndon Bowring, and Richard Taylor and glad that more than 1000 men joined us for a day that challenged, inspired and we pray will be transforming every man there.

Dr. R. T. Kendall

Dr. R. T. Kendall was minister of Westminster Chapel, London, for exactly 25 years. He is the author of 50 books, travels all over the world and continues a ministry of writing. He and his wife Louise now reside in Nashville, Tennessee.

Lyndon Bowring is Executive Chairman of Care a mainstream Christian charity. CARE seeks to make a Christian difference by undertaking a variety of social, caring and educational programmes as well as research and lobbying on associated issues, to matters of public policy and education. Lyndon was born in Wales, studied at the London Bible College and lives in London with his wife Celia, a writer and speaker. They have three children Daniel, Emma and Andrew.

Richard Taylor is an author, motivational speaker and pastor and is the founder of the charity ‘Gateway Foundation’ which aims to help ex-offenders and drug addicts. He has also appeared on radio and TV crime programmes as an expert guest. His autobiography ‘To Catch a Thief’ tells how as a young man from South Wales his life was transformed by the power of the gospel. Richard is married to Jill and they have three sons: Joshua, Caleb and Jacob.
